And then, sometimes, the dog chews your nuts off.An Arkansas man, who for obvious reasons wished to remain nameless when recounting his story, found himself in that exact position.
He took in a "small, white, and fluffy" stray dog, slept in the nude, and woke up to discover the dog had eaten one of his testicles.
The man is paralyzed and was awoken due to "burning pain" only to find the dog's muzzle and paws covered in blood. He was treated at St. Bernards (seriously?) Regional Medical Center.
The dog who had been docile in the previous days, was ultimately euthanized and will be tested for rabies.

Please don't blame the cute dog. Who asked him to sleep naked on the same bed with a dog?
I believe he did not feed the dog well at night if not why wil the dog be hungry to eat his nuts?

Beware;Singer, Omawumi Beats Journalist, Gives Him Swollen Face

While carrying out his lawful duty, the photo-journalist, Adekola Bamigbala attempted to take pictures of Omawumi, but little did he know that danger was lurking around for him, as the singer allegedly pounced on him, snatched his big camera and with it, dealt him heavy strikes in the face in quick succession, which gave Bamigbala a swollen face.
It was big and strange flashes, not from his camera, but from alleged assaults from Omawumi that the journalist could see.
Omawumi was given a call but a lady, who claimed not to be her, refused to speak when she found out the reason for the call.
The singer still has not responded to the SMS sent to her.
The victim, Bamigbala wondered why Omawumi would descend so low to attack him as he could not remember having any issues with her.

According to PM News, 22-year old vulcanizer, Akin Abayomi was found stark naked at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Marina, Lagos, around 12 midnight when Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State was driving by with his convoy.

Thinking he was a mad man, Fashola ordered his security aides to pick him up for rehabilitation.

The man was taken to the State House, Marina where he was housed for the night. Then the governor sent for the Special Adviser on Youth and Social Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru to rehabilitate him.

But during examination, Abayomi confessed that he was not a mad man. It turned out that he had stripped himself in the middle of the night on the road because he wanted to curse the person who stole his cell phone and his money.

PMNews reports Abayomi had visited a herbalist in his quest for revenge against the person who stole his cell phone and money and was instructed to carry out the act in order to curse his enemy, which was why he was naked in the middle of the night.

Mr Badru said:

“After I picked him up from the State House, he said he was not a mad man, but says he drinks and smokes marijuana and that he is an apprentice in a vulcanizing workshop. He said he bought a phone and that somebody stole the phone.

After we investigated for two weeks to know his family, we realised that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an arm of the Holy Cross Cathedral, is also interested in rehabilitating him.'

Badru disclosed that the governor released N100,000 to Abayomi to start up his own vulcanizing business as well as bought him a phone and asked the church to monitor his progress.

Abayomi said the governor has really changed his life, saying that if Fashola had not picked him up, he would not have completed his apprenticeship training to become a successful vulcaniser.

Eileen Brennan, who starred in 'Private Benjamin' and other films, dies

Eileen Brennan, who earned an Oscar nomination for her hilarious turn as the exasperated drill captain in 1980's "Private Benjamin," has died, CNN has confirmed. She was 80.

Brennan died Sunday at her Burbank, California, home after a battle with bladder cancer, her management company said.

"Our family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and respect for Eileen," her family said in a statement. "She was funny and caring and truly one of a kind. Her strength and love will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by all of us."

Brennan was known for character roles as sassy, brassy women, the kind with a sandpaper surface but a light, pure heart.

She played a waitress in "The Last Picture Show" (1971), the companion of Paul Newman's conman in "The Sting" (1973), a wisecracking maid in "At Long Last Love" (1975) and Mrs. Peacock in "Clue" (1985). She also did a great deal of television, including a reprise of her "Private Benjamin" role in the TV series of the same name.

Other TV appearances included guest shots on "Taxi," "thirtysomething," "ER," "Murder, She Wrote," "Mad About You," "Touched by an Angel" and six episodes of "Will & Grace." The latter earned her an Emmy nomination, one of seven she earned in her career -- including one that resulted in a win, a supporting actress-comedy pick for "Private Benjamin."

At a particular point they noticed that one of them called IJ as popularly called is no where to be found and the three men.
three hours later they saw IJ coming with a big smile on her face, but the three men were no where to be found.
we asked her why the big smile and where she has gone to for like three hours, and she told us to forget.

We left the party and went back home. at exactly 12:05am we heard a loud noise from IJ s room and we rushed in and noticed that IJ is bleeding seriously non stop from her private part, we ask her what happened and she said she doesnt know that all she could remember was at the party, that she slept with those three men, and they made her an offer to sleep with their Baboon, which she agreed cos of the money involved, thats all.

We blamed her and decided to take her to the hospital cos the bleeding was non stop for like an hour, but before getting to the hospital, IJ died(crying)

Husband Stabs Wife to Death For Bearing Female Children

A 48-year-old man (names withheld), has allegedly killed his wife for not being able to give birth to a male child.

The deceased, 46, simply identified as Mama Feyi, was heavily pregnant when she was allegedly stabbed to death by the husband during an early morning dispute.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the alleged murderer who hails from Abusoro area in Akure, Ondo State, has since been arrested and is presently being detained at the Ala divisional police station.

Eye witness accounts say the suspect has been having a running battle with his deceased wife for over two years shortly after the woman gave birth to their fourth daughter.

Sources say trouble began a month ago before the brutal murder when the husband complained aloud that his deceased wife is incapable of bearing him a male child and the incident led to a fierce altercation between the couple.

Shocked neighbours expressed disbelief at the death of mama Feyi when one of their next door neighbour, Mr. Isijola, said he was awakened by loud arguments coming from their room very early in the morning.

“I ignored them as it is a norm for them to always argue and have altercations. I decided to ignore them at first but when the noise was getting unbearable, I stepped into their room only to find the lifeless body of the woman on the floor, lying in the pool of her blood. I saw the man holding a knife and he threatened to stab me if I don’t leave.

Isijola continued, “It was when I discovered that he may abscond that I alerted the police who immediately came to arrest him.”

Naratting the incident, daughter of the deceased, Feyisara, said, “It all started on Sunday after my mummy had cooked rice. She asked me to go and collect money from my father to prepare stew and on getting to him, he started shouting. But he later gave me N500 which my mum refused to collect. They both argued and had a fight. I had to make a distress call to neighbours to settle the dispute”.

According to the daughter of the deceased, “the quarrel started at about 6am when my mum asked him to give her some money for her ante-natal but he refused. They started fighting and before we knew it, daddy brought out a knife and stabbed mummy to death.”

2013 Etisalat Prize for Literature: Judging Panel Announced

Etisalat Nigeria has assembled a strong panel of judges for the maiden edition of its pan-African prize for literature the Etisalat Prize for Literature. The panel of four is chaired by Pumla Gqola, an associate professor in the department of African Literature at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. Gqola is one of South Africa’s most influential public intellectuals and feminists. She is the author of What is Slavery to Me? Postcolonial/Slave Memory in Post-Apartheid South Africa and A Renegade Called Simphiwe.
Other great minds in the literary panel include Sarah Ladipo Manyika, Zakes Mda, and Billy Kahora. Manyika, a literature teacher at the San Francisco State University, comes with a repertoire of published essays, academic papers, book reviews and short stories. An alumnus of the University of Birmingham and Bordeaux, she completed her doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley. Her first novel In Dependence was published by Legend Press as well as Cassava Republic Press in Africa and featured for Black History Month by the UK’s largest book store chain.
Mda is a prolific novelist, poet and playwright. He is also a founding member and serves on the advisory board of African Writers Trust. He has won major literary awards for his novels and plays including the Commonwealth Writers Prize for Africa. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of the University of Cape Town for his contributions to world literature and was a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Ohio.
