D-Black - Black Clouds ft. Waje (Music Video Romance)

By Jove, this is the saddest music video I've seen in a long, long while. Jeez...by the half-way point you'll have goose bumps on your skin, and if you're soft-hearted, tears may even join the party. The only grouse, Waje's voice was a bit too auto-tuned. Great story, and capable rap delivery and lyrics by D-Black. Another marvelous Nigeria-Ghana collabo. See MI and Becca.

DELE MOMODU PRESIDENT OF JONATHAN?

wpid-DELE-MOMODU1.jpegFellow Nigerians, I had planned, and hoped, to escape from President Goodluck Jonathan’s unending brouhaha this week but that seems impossible for as long as our President and acolytes continue to titillate us with salacious news every week. My piece today was triggered by a few unrelated events. The first was a chance meeting I had with a distinguished media baron who spent over ten hours with me in Accra early this week. He had apparently read most of my articles and was determined to get me to take a closer look at President Jonathan’s efforts and achievements so far. He acknowledged, unlike most of this government’s apologists, that I had maintained a semblance of objectivity in my writings. He was particularly impressed that I had remained in the National Conscience Party, at a time most politicians would have jumped ship.

(BIKE RIDERS)OKADA CHASE KILLED 3 POLICEMEN

poThere was confusion on Friday in Lagos as three policemen were feared killed while attempting to arrest a commercial motorcyclist.
The incident occurred at the Cement Bus Stop, along the ever-busy Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, and led to heavy traffic on the road as well some other parts of Agege.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that the policemen were attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
According to the eyewitness, the commercial motorcyclist was going towards Oshodi, carrying two passengers, when the policemen sighted him and attempted to arrest him.
“He also knew that they (policemen) wanted to arrest him and he sped off; but the policemen, who were in a van, chased him. The police van caught up with him, but he suddenly swerved his bike and the driver of the van applied the brake.
“The van rammed into a commercial Volkswagen bus (popularly known as Faragon in Lagos) and the policemen at the back (of the van) were flung out.” said the eyewitness.
One of the policemen was said to have hit his forehead against the slab by the bridge, while another landed on his chest on the road and the third hit his head on the bridge.
