QUESTION OF THE DAY

The company policy states couples must NOT work in the same
office and staffs should get married in the same office.

Who should leave the job for another?

Nokia to sell handset business to Microsoft for $7.2 billion

Two years after hitching its fate to Microsoft's Windows Phone software, a withered Nokia collapsed into the arms of the U.S. software giant, agreeing to sell its main handset business for 5.44 billion euros ($7.2 billion).
Nokia, which will continue as a maker of networking equipment and holder of patents, was once the world's dominant handset manufacturer but was long since overtaken by Apple and Samsung in the highly competitive market for more powerful smartphones.

UN says Syria refugees top 2 million mark

The civil war in Syria has forced over 2 million people out of the country and over 4 million others are displaced within its borders, making Syrians the nation with the largest number of people torn from their homes right now, U.N. officials said Tuesday.
If the conflict continues 3.5 million people Syrian refugees are expected by the end of the year, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres said.
"At this particular moment it's the highest number of displaced people anywhere in the world," he told reporters in Geneva. "Syria has become the great tragedy of this century — a disgraceful humanitarian calamity with suffering and displacement unparalleled in recent history."
Almost 5,000 citizens a day on average are flowing out of Syria — a country of some 23 million people — many of them with little more than the clothes they are wearing, Guterres said. The number of refugees has surged by 1.8 million in just 12 months — up from almost 231,000 a year ago.

I was deported because I was looking hot and I am hot

Omar Borkan Al Gala
Omar Borkan Al Gala was recently asked to leave the country of Saudi Arabia for being too handsome.

Born in the United Arab Emirates, Al Gala, a poet, actor, and photographer was visiting Saudi Arabia for the  Jenadrivah Heritage & Cultural Festival, when he and two of his colleagues were asked to leave for fear they would “corrupt the country’s women”, according to the Arabic-language newspaper Elaph.
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices believed that Al Gala in all of his great-looking hotness was just too darn tempting to have around.
A local newspaper later explained the men had been targeted amid fears “female visitors would fall for them”, and they were swiftly deported to Abu Dhabi.
Reluctant to publicly admit that he was one of the men, Al Gala did recently add this poetic muse to his Facebook page: “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” Love him!

What do you think? His he hot or not? VOTE NOW

SHAMPOO A WASTEOF MONEY

It’s the dirty little secret many shampoo companies don’t want you to know.  When you wash your hair with certain traditional shampoos, you may actually be stripping your hair and scalp of their natural oils.  Many shampoos usually rely on sodium laurel sulfate or other damaging detergents for cleansing.  While these generate a thick lather to clean hair, they can also create dryness, frizziness, dullness, and color fade.
We then spend a fortune of time and money on products that are effectively undoing the damage caused by shampoo.
Nobody knows this problem better than hair care professionals who are dealing with it day-in and day-out.  One in particular, legendary L.A. celebrity stylist Chaz Dean, decided to do something about it.  He got tired of clients leaving his salon raving about their color and the feel of their hair, only to complain a few weeks later that their hair looked and felt brassy and dull.
He knew the main culprit was likely their shampoo, so he started experimenting with various ingredients, including natural herbs and botanicals, that he knew had cleansing and hydrating properties.
The result was a radically new approach to the way we cleanse our hair.  It’s called WEN® Cleansing Conditioner.  WEN® contains a super-hydrating blend of glycerin, chamomile, rosemary, calendula, and Cherry bark, which when combined, will both cleanse the hair as well as impart shine and softness, even to damaged hair.

Chris Ihidero Unedited "Interview With Pastor Biodun" - An Acceptable Contribution to the Discussion?

I just read this satirical contribution to the on-going conversation about Ese Walter's open letter [read here] alleging an affair between herself and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA church Abuja. I'm the first to say I want the conversation to continue and stay on the front pages so that those in a position to take action do so, including Pastor Fatoyinbo himself.

I said in a previous post that we could joke about the issue as long as we keep talking and asking questions, but reading this piece, I don't know. By seeking a more worthy resolution to this matter than simply sweeping it under the carpet, I definitely do not mean to insult anyone, neither Ese Walter, nor Pastor Fatoyinbo. And I'll certainly not want to make light of the fact that Pastors and other men in the church may be abusing women and children under their care and authority. Does this piece push it that far? Am I taking it too seriously?
