This seems to be the week of strange animal stories. The other day it was the roaming gang of street cats, and today it is a stray dog gone wrong.
Taking in a stray dog is such a selfless act. Giving an animal a home is usually paid back in spades by the adoring love of the new mutt.
And then, sometimes, the dog chews your nuts off.An Arkansas man, who for obvious reasons wished to remain nameless when recounting his story, found himself in that exact position.
He took in a "small, white, and fluffy" stray dog, slept in the nude, and woke up to discover the dog had eaten one of his testicles.
The man is paralyzed and was awoken due to "burning pain" only to find the dog's muzzle and paws covered in blood. He was treated at St. Bernards (seriously?) Regional Medical Center.
The dog who had been docile in the previous days, was ultimately euthanized and will be tested for rabies.

Please don't blame the cute dog. Who asked him to sleep naked on the same bed with a dog?
I believe he did not feed the dog well at night if not why wil the dog be hungry to eat his nuts?

Beware;Singer, Omawumi Beats Journalist, Gives Him Swollen Face

While carrying out his lawful duty, the photo-journalist, Adekola Bamigbala attempted to take pictures of Omawumi, but little did he know that danger was lurking around for him, as the singer allegedly pounced on him, snatched his big camera and with it, dealt him heavy strikes in the face in quick succession, which gave Bamigbala a swollen face.
It was big and strange flashes, not from his camera, but from alleged assaults from Omawumi that the journalist could see.
Omawumi was given a call but a lady, who claimed not to be her, refused to speak when she found out the reason for the call.
The singer still has not responded to the SMS sent to her.
The victim, Bamigbala wondered why Omawumi would descend so low to attack him as he could not remember having any issues with her.

According to PM News, 22-year old vulcanizer, Akin Abayomi was found stark naked at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Marina, Lagos, around 12 midnight when Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State was driving by with his convoy.

Thinking he was a mad man, Fashola ordered his security aides to pick him up for rehabilitation.

The man was taken to the State House, Marina where he was housed for the night. Then the governor sent for the Special Adviser on Youth and Social Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru to rehabilitate him.

But during examination, Abayomi confessed that he was not a mad man. It turned out that he had stripped himself in the middle of the night on the road because he wanted to curse the person who stole his cell phone and his money.

PMNews reports Abayomi had visited a herbalist in his quest for revenge against the person who stole his cell phone and money and was instructed to carry out the act in order to curse his enemy, which was why he was naked in the middle of the night.

Mr Badru said:

“After I picked him up from the State House, he said he was not a mad man, but says he drinks and smokes marijuana and that he is an apprentice in a vulcanizing workshop. He said he bought a phone and that somebody stole the phone.

After we investigated for two weeks to know his family, we realised that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an arm of the Holy Cross Cathedral, is also interested in rehabilitating him.'

Badru disclosed that the governor released N100,000 to Abayomi to start up his own vulcanizing business as well as bought him a phone and asked the church to monitor his progress.

Abayomi said the governor has really changed his life, saying that if Fashola had not picked him up, he would not have completed his apprenticeship training to become a successful vulcaniser.

Eileen Brennan, who starred in 'Private Benjamin' and other films, dies

Eileen Brennan, who earned an Oscar nomination for her hilarious turn as the exasperated drill captain in 1980's "Private Benjamin," has died, CNN has confirmed. She was 80.

Brennan died Sunday at her Burbank, California, home after a battle with bladder cancer, her management company said.

"Our family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and respect for Eileen," her family said in a statement. "She was funny and caring and truly one of a kind. Her strength and love will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by all of us."

Brennan was known for character roles as sassy, brassy women, the kind with a sandpaper surface but a light, pure heart.

She played a waitress in "The Last Picture Show" (1971), the companion of Paul Newman's conman in "The Sting" (1973), a wisecracking maid in "At Long Last Love" (1975) and Mrs. Peacock in "Clue" (1985). She also did a great deal of television, including a reprise of her "Private Benjamin" role in the TV series of the same name.

Other TV appearances included guest shots on "Taxi," "thirtysomething," "ER," "Murder, She Wrote," "Mad About You," "Touched by an Angel" and six episodes of "Will & Grace." The latter earned her an Emmy nomination, one of seven she earned in her career -- including one that resulted in a win, a supporting actress-comedy pick for "Private Benjamin."
