Paris Jackson wants to live with Diana Ross

Paris Jackson has reportedly told social workers she wants to live with her late father’s friend Diana Ross because she feels too “stifled” at home.

The 15-year-old daughter of Michael has been recovering from her recent suicide attempt and has apparently told social workers at UCLA Medical Centre she doesn’t want to be under the care of grandmother Katherine and cousin TJ Jackson anymore.
The Daily Star newspaper has revealed the troubled star “wants to live”, but wants to do so under the care of the ‘Chain Reaction’ hitmaker.
According to an insider, Paris said: “I want to live. I just don’t want to live at home any more. I feel like I’m being stifled there.
“I miss my dad terribly still and at times I feel like there’s no one I can talk to about how I feel.
“I want to go and live with Diana, who was one of dad’s closest friends.”
It was recently said that the 69-year-old singer was concerned for her goddaughter’s well-being but had no intention of stepping on the toes of the Jackson family while the ‘Thriller’ star’s children are in good care.
A source previously revealed: “Diana absolutely isn’t going to make a move for custody of the children. She only wants what is best for them.
“Diana has tremendous respect for Katherine and all that she has done for the children and told her … when they spoke, that if she needed anything, she stands ready to help in anyway.”

While the Koma community resides in Adamawa State, the new Stone Age people are in Taraba State.

They are called, the Jibu people and they are descendants of the Kwarafa Kingdom who lived for centuries in nine communities scattered around on the mountains in Gashaka.

Missing child from Winners church found two years after

A little girl kidnapped from the Children department of the Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun State, has been found.
The girl was brought to church this morning by her parents.
The girl now around four years was reportedly sold to a woman in Kano.
The girl known as Praise was taken away from the woman after the man that kidnapped him confessed to committing the crime.
The kidnapper said he was struck with a strange disease after kidnapping Praise. He also became blind.In additiôn to this, he said he was always seeing the founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, pursuing him with a sword in his dream, hencé his decision to confess his sin.
The Bishop said the self-confessed kidnapper was taken to a brançh of Winners church by his wife.

Wendy's Employee Guzzles Frosty Straight From Machine

The dude above, guzzling straight from the Wendy's Frosty machine (the vanilla kind, for unknown reasons), became a viral hit after his pic hit Reddit.

Not by his doing. "I was going to buy a frosty from Wendy's until I saw the employee do this," the poster wrote, and shortly thereafter, the guy got 86'd.

If there's any consolation to be found in this, it's that Taco Bell Guy tongue-bathing and fondling a set of shells this spring was probably even worse.

Nigerian Cab Driver Killed in New York(+ PHOTOS)

                                       

54 year old Orji Ama Uro(pictured above) from Ekoli Edda, Ebonyi State, was brutally stabbed in the eye with an umbrella after dropping off two people, a man and a woman, in Brooklyn around 5pm on Thursday June 13th. The point of the umbrella pierced Ama Uro's brain, killing him. 

Eye witnesses told police that the man and woman came down from the cab on Thomas S. Boyland St. in Brownsville and immediately started arguing with the cab driver. The man, believed to be in his 20s, then stabbed Uro in the right eye with an umbrella, piercing his brain.

Uro lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into two parked vehicles. (pictured above). He managed to get out of his car then collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His killer and his companion are yet to be arrested, though a $5,000 reward has been offered for any information leading to the suspects’ arrest.

Uro was not robbed as his wallet and cellphone were found in his cab. 

 

He relocated to the US 10 years ago and recently brought his children to the US to live with him. (Two of his daughters pictured with him below). His wife lives in Aba, Abia state.

                          
                                  

                                    

The Minister of State, Education Chief Nyesom Wike ‘Arrested’ By Inspector General of Police

 

Muhammed Abubakar, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), ‘arrested’ Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of State, Education Wednesday in Abuja inside the Presidential Villa’s Council Chambers.

This happened moments before Federal Executive Council meeting commenced. The ‘arrest’ is said to be just one of the big men’s chitchats that always take place before such meetings begin.

As soon as the minister of State, Education arrived for the meeting, he grabbed the IGP from behind. The Inspector General turned to see who would grab his uniform that is adorned with medals, and declared, “You are under arrest!”

The minister quickly stretched his hands and asked the police boss to handcuff him. He was dragged into the chamber’s tea room for ‘interrogation’. A few minutes later, the two returned to the chambers laughing.  I bet the minister was granted bail on self acknowledgment…

French Artist Orlan Sues Lady Gaga for Plagiarism

French artist Orlan is suing Lady Gaga and the French subsidiary of Universal Music for plagiarism in a Paris court. In the lawsuit, the artist accuses the singer of stealing from her to construct the visual universe of her third album, “Born This Way.” According to Le Quotidien de l’Art, which broke the story, Orlan is demanding $31.7 million or 7.5 percent of the profits from the album and video.

The lawsuit specifically mentions the beginning of the video of “Born This Way,” which features Lady Gaga’s made-up decapitated head. Indeed, it is very similar to Orlan’s sculpture “Femme Avec Tête” (“Woman With Head”) from 1996.
This isn’t the first time Lady Gaga has been accused of freely taking ideas from the visual arts realm. She already made Orlan’s facial implants her own (though it was kind of like raiding your best friend’s closet for her high heels). And the famous meat dress she wore at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010 was borrowed from a similar dress made by artist Jana Sterbak.
But intellectual property issues can be hard to pin down in imagery and performance. Where should be the line be drawn between inspiration and theft? In 2011, Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker accused Beyoncé of plagiarizing her work in a music video, but this didn’t result in a lawsuit. Perhaps the current case will help settle some of these thorny questions.

President Jonathan Removes Permanent Secretary Over Dubai Marriage Ceremony

Details are starting to emerge hat President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered for the re-posting of Ambassador Abdulazeez Musa, Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Petroleum resources. Top of the list of reasons for his redeployment is his daughter's wedding last weekend.
Concerns over conflict of interest have also emerged as the permanent secretary gave out his daughter to an oil tycoon's son.
Some source claims that Mr. President have also become uneasy with the key opposition politicians who attended the wedding and the expensive nature of the wedding.

Iran Elects Hassan Rouhani As President

Hassan Rouhani was yesterday declared Iran’s new president in a surprise outright election victory that ends eight years of conservative grip on the top office.

“This victory is a victory for wisdom, moderation and maturity… over extremism,” local media reported Rouhani as saying in a first statement after his triumph.
The 64-year-old moderate cleric, a former top nuclear negotiator who has championed more constructive engagement with world powers, won outright with 18.6 million votes, or 50.68 per cent of those cast, the interior minister said.
Rouhani is expected to improve Iran’s relationship with world powers unlike President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad whose nuclear programme has been a subject of discord.

Crowds marched through Vali-Asr Square in central Tehran carrying pictures of the winner and chanting pro-Rouhani slogans.

In northwest Tehran, people gathered in Kaj Square and cheered as passing cars sounded their horns in approval.
Rouhani’s tally was enough to ensure there would be no run-off against the runner-up, Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who came a distant second with 6.55 per cent of the votes. Top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili came third with 11.35 per cent.
Former Revolutionary Guards commander Mohsen Rezai and ex-foreign minister Ali Akbar Velayati won 3.88 and 2.26 million votes respectively.

Politics In Kano As Ado Bayero Celebrates 50th Year As Emir

 

 It was a day of political maneuvering in the ancient city of Kano today as Alhaji Ado Bayero celebrated his 50th anniversary as Emir of Kano, with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, current Vice President Namadi Sambo, and General Muhammadu Buhari dominating the scene.

But Alhaji Bayero celebrated with a spirit of forgiveness, saying of his years as Emir he has forgiven all those who offended him and asking forgiveness from those he may have offended.
“All praises are due to Allah for his mercy on us to witness these years,” he told the large crowd. “I received a large amount of support from the people of the state and it’s wonderful and eventful to me.”
He described his years on the throne as being filled with happiness, and called on the people to rededicate their attitude to Allah and shelve all their vices.
The Emir also implored the people to guide their children’s behavior and ensure their education so that they will be beneficial to the state and the nation.
General Buhari took the center stage of the ceremony as usual as a very popular figure, with the crowd chanting the usual “Sai [Only] Buhari.”  But while Namadi Sambo and Atiku Abubakar also made their presence known, Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state was seen trying to hide his face from the crowd who were overheard referring to him as “anti-North” Yuguda.
It was reliably learnt that Buhari, Wamako, Kwankawso and Niger State Deputy Governor Musa Ebeto met at the presidential lounge of the Murtala Muhammad Airport briefly to discuss some vital political issues.

Welcoming the guests earlier, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar, explained that the celebration was for them to thank Almighty Allah over the mercy granted the Emir of Kano time to experience 50 years on the throne.
He prayed for peace and stability in the States of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa for the difficult conditions they are currently experiencing, and for peace throughout the country.
