2Face’s Babymama, Sunmbo Ajaba Cancels Wedding With Pastor Lover?

It seems the reported wedding between Sunmbo Ajaba, 2Face’s babymama; and her heartthrob, Pastor David Adeoye, has been cancelled.
Their court wedding was held on Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. They already held their introduction ceremony. David and Sunmbo, we learnt, have been friends for many years but their friendship changed after David lost his wife, Folake Adeoye in November 2011. Pastor Adeoye whose eyes, we gathered, have been fixed on Sumbo shortly after the demise of his wife, proposed and Sunmbo didn’t hesitate to say no since the man has been so supportive using her event company to organize virtually all the church’s activities.

Sumbo is one of the active members in pastor Adeoye's church and is a committed choir member who leads the praise and worship. 
The wedding, which should have held last week Saturday in Lagos, didn’t take place any longer. On that day, Sunmbo was reportedly in the United States of America celebrating the birthday of her child, who turned five, while her Pastor ‘hubby’ was reportedly in church in Lagos. Read it HERE
Even the Registry that was supposed to hold on Thursday, May 2 in Ikoyi, didn’t take place as earlier planned.
Pastor Adeoye is the Senior Pastor at Royal Christian Centre. It is still not clear what could have led to it. We will dig into it and bring details later.
The duo reportedly had a secret marriage in South Africa but planned a Nigeria version of it.

Police Kill 4 Cultists, Arrest 6 Others In Delta

 

Police Anti-Robbery Detectives operating in Asaba, yesterday, killed four suspected armed robbery kingpins and leaders of a secret cult group terrorising land developers in Asaba metropolis and Ibusa.
The Police Commissioner in the state, Mr Ikechukwu Aduba, confirmed that the gang members were raiding building sites and robbing helplesscitizens of their valuables when the detectives, acting on a tip-off, swooped on them and added that in the ensuing shoot out, four of the gang memberswere killed while six others were arrested.
The Police boss said that activities of the group came to the end lastSaturday when a victim of the gang’s several robberies escaped andreported the matter to the Police who later swung into action.
According to him, the victim narrated how she was at her building sitewith two others when the hoodlums, led by one Ndubuisi armed with gunsand cutlasses, appeared in a commando like style and beat her up, robbedher of N25, 000 while her site engineer, one Saliu Idris, was also given severe beating and was robbed of N6, 000 and handset at gun point.
The Police Commissioner noted that the hoodlums on interrogation, confessed to be members of Ake Secret cult who have been operating in Asaba and its environs.

Chime Makes Public Appearance After Rumoured Death

Seven days after his rumoured death, Enugu State Governor Sullivan Chime yesterday made a public appearance at Okpara Square where he inaugurated the newly appointed administrators of the 57 Local Government Development Centers (LGDCs).
It would be recalled that last week rumours were widespread that the governor had passed on, a development that heightened political tension in the state.
The Commissioner of Information in the state, Chuks Ugwoke had described the rumour as unfounded and insisted that the governor was hale and hearty.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Chime warned them that they were not appointed to flex muscles with the chairmen of local government areas in the state.
He disclosed that their appointment followed consultations, and said that they owed their appointment not only to him but also to the people.
The governor also told the administrators that they were appointed to serve as tools in the hands of the council chairmen with a view to achieving results.
He enjoined them to work very closely with the council chairmen, and assured them that they enjoyed as much support as elected council officers.
According to him, the administrators were expected to be directly in touch with the grass roots and used the opportunity to thank the people of the state for their prayers and well wishes.

Hajiya Turai Umaru Musa Yar’adua has revealed how her husband, former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua once told her that his relatives would quarrel with her after his death as they would think he had left so much money.
The former first lady who spoke at a memorial lecture in honour of the late president in Katsina at the weekend, also said “the late Yar’adua was not a materialist leader who believed in accumulating wealth. In fact, he shunned material things as his slogan was service to humanity.
“There was a time he said to me that ‘Turai, I pity you because when I die you will have quarrels with my relatives because they will think I have so much money in my possession”, she said.
She said the situation in Nigeria would have been better had the late president survived his ailment because he was a “focused, committed and determined leader”.

“Although my husband was sick for a long time he did his very best for Nigeria. Also as governor of Katsina State, he did his best for the state; he is an honest man who believed in service”, she said.
Extolling his virtues as a leader, Turai said the late President would not give out contract without having the money to pay for it.
“There was a time I approached him that people are complaining that the government was slow. But he said to me people can say whatever they like but I will not give out contract if I have no money to pay.
“The late Umaru was a kind of leader that would go out and monitor projects. I could recall when I used to join him to supervise the projects at Umaru Musa ‘Yar’adua University, Turai ‘Yar’adua Hospital and the roads,” she said.

Alex Ferguson set to retire as Man U manager at the end of the season

Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has announced his decision to retire at the end of the season. The 71 year old, who became Man U manager in 1986, will bow out after WBA game on the 19th May and will join the football club board as director and ambassador

Sir Alex is the most successful manager in English football history. He won 38 tropphies, including two Champions League and 13 Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson told United’s website:

Fuji Crisis Deepens As Pasuma, Obesere Shun Kollington’s 50 Years On Stage Party

If there is one music genre of the Nigerian music industry that is riddled with crisis, it is definitely going to be Fuji music. It has almost become a regular occurrence in that sector of the showbiz world to have major players of Fuji music being at loggerheads with one another.
Recently, Fuji lord, General Kollington Ayinla celebrated his 50 years on stage. While his contemporaries honoured him at the event, it was not so with the younger ones who shunned the Fuji star.

The terrorist group in Nigeria; Boko Haram was at it ones again in Bama on Tuesday the 7th of May. A small town in north eastern Borno State where boko haram first launched an uprising in 2009. Boko Haram gunmen killed 22 police officers, 14 prison officials, two soldiers and four civilians, while 13 of the group's own members died, military spokesman Sagir Musa told Reuters.

Divisional Police Station and the offices of the DPO, and that of the Area Commander bombed by terrorists in Bama.

Gunmen freed 105 prison members during the raid which began at around 5 a.m. (0400 GMT) and lasted almost five hours, Musa said. Bama's police station, military barracks and government buildings were burned to the ground, a Reuters witness saw.

Parents ban their children from watching Nollywood movies

The Nigerian film industry has come under fire over the warped values it espouses. Most Nigerians either love or hate Nollywood, with not too many occupying the middle ground. In primary school,

children play clapping games while singing songs about Living in Bondage, considered the first Nollywood blockbuster, and the film that launched the Nigerian cinema industry.

However, as the industry grew, parents began to forbid their children to watch Nigerian movies due to the abundant depictions of rituals or "juju".
Still Nollywood continued its ascent, and it is not until when a Nigerian goes outside that he realise how much of an influence Nollywood has.

Untold Story About Singer Asa’s Lesbi Profile

Nigerian-born singer Asa is reportedly in court battling Lesbi charges.
The case before Justice Coker was to be heard when her star witness, Damilola Amolegbe was said to have declined being called as a witness, telling Asa’s lawyers from Abraham Chambers that she couldn’t be a witness in Asa’s matter.

Having granted the music star much indulgence in the matter, the trial Judge then ordered that the case be closed and called for written address of the two parties. Asa’s first witness, Taiwo Olakunle of HiTv was suddenly dropped at the earlier trial stage when she was confronted with hard evidences.

Meanwhile her manager Janet Nwose, who was alleged to be having affair with Asa did not come up as a witness which has remained baffling and suspicious to legal experts.

How it all started:
It would be recalled that Asa and her manager, Janet Nwose had a suit against the publishers of a Lagos-based magazine, ‘News of the People’ sometime last year. They urged the court to declare that the statement and picture in the December 14-22 edition of the magazine, entitled “Lesbi Tale Trails Asa and Manager” was defamatory.

Asa wants the court to declare that the allegation of Lesbi against her and Janet is false, illegal and a violation of their rights. They are also asking the court to restrain the defendant from further publication of what they described as malicious statements against them, adding that the alleged defamatory statement was calculated to discredit and malign them in their ‘unblemished’ career as international music artists with high moral standing, which they have consistently conveyed in their songs.
