Elijah Wood whom many people came to know from his days playing Frodo in the Peter Jackson adaptation of Lord Of The Rings, stars as a serial killer for IFC Midnight’s Maniac for his next gig and the poster has just been put out.
The movie which was directed by Franck Khalfoun is a remake of
William Lustig’s 1980 horror movie of the same title, and stars Elijah
Wood and Nora Arnezeder as the lead character.In the movie, Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank (Wood) is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna (Arnezeder) appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.
