Chris Ihidero Unedited "Interview With Pastor Biodun" - An Acceptable Contribution to the Discussion?

I just read this satirical contribution to the on-going conversation about Ese Walter's open letter [read here] alleging an affair between herself and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA church Abuja. I'm the first to say I want the conversation to continue and stay on the front pages so that those in a position to take action do so, including Pastor Fatoyinbo himself.

I said in a previous post that we could joke about the issue as long as we keep talking and asking questions, but reading this piece, I don't know. By seeking a more worthy resolution to this matter than simply sweeping it under the carpet, I definitely do not mean to insult anyone, neither Ese Walter, nor Pastor Fatoyinbo. And I'll certainly not want to make light of the fact that Pastors and other men in the church may be abusing women and children under their care and authority. Does this piece push it that far? Am I taking it too seriously?

Anambra Guber: Ngige Emerges APC Flagbearer

Former governor of Anambra State and senator representing Anambra Central Senatoral zone, Dr. Chris Ngige, was last night elected the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 16 Anambra State governorship election.
He polled a total of 63, 255 votes to defeat his only challenger, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, who scored a total of 9, 564 votes.
Ngige was declared the APC gubernatorial flagbearer by the chairman of the party’s national electoral committee and former Kano State governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, whose committee collated results of the primaries from the 326 wards in the 21 local government areas of the state at Emmaus House, Awka, the state capital.
Other members of the committee included former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, Senator Osita Izunaso and the interim deputy national chairman of the party, Senator Annie Okonkwo.

Young Shall Grow Motor boss attacked in Festac, driver&escort killed

The CEO of The Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo, was attacked by suspected assassins on Tuesday night August 27th on 22 Road in Festac Town, Lagos, killing his driver and police escort. He narrowly escaped death.
The multimillionaire businessman was returning home from work on Tuesday night when an SUV double-crossed his vehicle in a lonely area, and some armed men opened fire on Chief Obianodo's car. His orderly who attempted to fire back was killed, his driver who was trying to escape was also killed while Chief Obianodo was shot in the arm.
The shooting attracted the attention of some policemen on patrol in the area who rushed down to the scene and engaged the gunmen in a shoot out, killing two of them.
Chief Obianodo was rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment. The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, who confirmed the incident said it is under investigation.

Beverly Osu Hospitalized

BBA Contestant, Beverly Osu has been admitted in a Nigerian hospital for sustaining an ankle injury while at the Big Brother – The Chase reality show.

Beverly who returned on Tuesday night, August 27, 2013 was admitted yesterday at FaithCity Hospital, Oju Olobun Close, off Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

We are told Bev sustained the injury on the finale of the reality show while climbing the stage.

Fellow housemate Melvin and former BBA contestant Uti Nwachukwu are some of those who visited her while on admission, according to sources who spoke with NET.

14-Yr-Old & 16-Yr-Old Gives Birth To Triplets (Watch Video)

A teenager has given birth to triplets in Bungoma County, Daily Nation has reported.
Fourteen-year-old Mwanaharabu Wamukoya of Harambee village in Kakamega County, Kenya was admitted to Bungoma District Hospital on Saturday evening and had a Caesarean Section on Sunday to deliver the three baby boys.
Two of the new-borns weighed 1.5 kilogrammes while the third one weighed 1.3 kilogrammes.
Nursing officer-in-charge Mary Marumbu said the babies and their mother were in stable condition and ready to be discharged.

Free messaging apps unsafe, claim hackers

NEW DELHI: The free text messaging app on your phone can be used to steal your personal information. Sounding this warning, hackers and cyber security professionals have claimed that internet companies can access a mobile user's chat logs and phone data, including location, contacts, mail and much more, through some of these free texting apps.
To prove their point, a team of young hackers demonstrated on Sunday how text messages sent through a Chinese free texting app can be decrypted. They said foreign governments could also be using this method to access data for surveillance or spying.

The vulnerability of free messaging users was one of several privacy issues that hacking enthusiasts discussed at The Hackers Conference in the capital on Sunday.
