Charles Oputa a.k.a Charly Boy, who is 62years today, has been married to Diane 'Lady D' Oputa for over 30 years. In an appreciation note to celebrate his birthday, she writes, "...My Husband and Friend, our love shall never end, even when it goes through the fire, because you and only you are my true heart desire.... Thanks for being there for us, thanks for loving me and for all the beautiful memories you have given me so far. To my soul mate, lover and best friend…"


In this interview, the couple discuss what has kept them going for so long; 

How long have you been married?

Charles: We lived in sin for about two years but we have been married for over 35 years.

Where and how did you meet each other?

Lady D: We met in Boston. That was in 1976 at a hair salon where I worked. Charles came in to fix his hair, but after he left, he called my boss and asked to speak with me. He invited me to a party the next day with a promise to pick me up from my work place. I noticed that he was so soft spoken and didn’t even have an accent at all. He didn’t even sound like someone from Africa. Now, that fuelled my curiosity. Before Charles, I never dated anyone from Africa. Well, he showed up the next day but guess what? There was no party to attend! We ended up driving all the way to the next state and back. That was the party.

Burna Boy Was Never Deported--Family Source Reacts

Contrary to news going viral on the internet that fast-rising singer, Burna Boy was deported from the United Kingdom, a close family source of the singer has informed Gossipnigeria.com that the singer was never deported as alleged in some sections of the media.

The family source, who exclusively spoke with Gossipnigeria.com under the condition of anonymity, said there is no iota of truth in the story. The source said, "I don't know why some people have dedicated themselves to bringing people down.

"The boy wasn't deported as being peddled. Infact, his student visa expired in November 2012. He came back to Nigeria in 2010 and was not deported. His passport does not have the 'deported' stamp."

Asked why Burna Boy has not performed in the UK, the source said, "we have not received any offers that can attract him to perform in the UK. Besides, Burna Boy lived in the UK and he's not in a rush to go back there."

"As at the time they claimed Burna Boy was in the UK, he was still a student in Corona School, so, how did they come about it?"

Burna Boy has enjoyed phenomena success in the Nigerian music industry since 2012 when he became visible to music lovers.

The Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Nigeria Mr.Steve Evans,  has described the celebrated porting of the comedian Hafiz Oyetoro popularly known as Saka as a mistake, noting that he will return back to Etisalat fold after 90 days.
Speaking in Lagos yesterday at a media Roundtable on Mobile Number Portability (MNP), Evans noted that “We all make mistakes in life” and the decision by Saka to port from Etisalat to a rival network MTN Nigeria was one of such mistakes on the part of the comedian.
In what could be regarded as one of the official statement by any high ranking staff of Etisalat since Saka ported over a month ago,  Evans said he is hoping Saka would realise his mistakes and port back at the end of the 90 days grace period given by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for subscribers to port back to any other than his original network.
The CEO noted that Etisalat was well prepared for the MNP and has built and expanded its network to accommodate over 30 million subscribers which is double its present capacity.
He noted that his company has recorded very impressive results since the MNP kicked off on April22. Though he refused to provide the details but said he was satisfied with the report he was getting from his men on the field.
Furthermore,  Evans maintained that his company has improved tremendously in its Key Performance -indicator (KPI) ratings.

 Shamed French Champions League winner Frank Ribery will stand trial today accused of having sex with an underage prostitue he hired as birthday present to himself.
The married Bayerm Munich midfielder, 30 could also face three years in prison for flying call girl Zahia Dhar to his German hotel room when she was 17 paying her 600 pounds for sex.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is also charged with having underage sex with tthe young blonde who is now 21.

Muslim convert Ribery has already confessed to having sex with the Algerian born beauty but denied knowing she was underage. The age of sexual content is 15 in France, but the legal age to work as a  prostitute is 18.

Six other men who ran the Paris brothel where she worked are also on trial. Ms Dehar has already spoken publicly about how the footballer paid 5,000 pound  for first class flight and a five star hotel to hire her for a single night on his 26th birthday on April 7, 2010.

She has become a celebrity in France since the allegations erupted, launching a soft-porn website and her own brand of lingerie. She told France's Paris Match Magazine.

"I was Ribery's birthday present. Frrance approached me in a Paris Club. He booked me and flew me to Munich to celebrate his 26th birthday. He made reservations at a luxury hotel in Munich. W ehad sex and he paid me. I was a lovely little present, wasn't I?" 

Ribery converted to Islam after marrying wife Whiba, his childhood sweetheart and mother of his two children. She said when the scandal erupted  that she was devastated and was considering launching divorce proceedings, but the couple  are still together.
Ribery later admitted:"In my private life, I went down the wrong road, I messed up, I lost myself and i hurt people, people who are dear to me".
Benzema  is accused of paying 500 euros in May 2008 to have sex with Dehar, then 16, in the suite of Paris hote. He denies the encounter ever happened.
Her lawyer Daniel Vaconsin said Ms Dehar - who faces no criminal charges was completely indifferent to whether the trial went ahead or not. He added, "Zahia has admitted she lied about her age when she has sez with these men and she has nothing else to say.

She calls herself a prostitue, should i ask for age before I pay and have sex with a prostitue?

Jennifer Lopez to Star in Chilean Miner Drama 'The 33' (Exclusive)

The actress takes on her first big-screen role since the action thriller "Parker." Jennifer Lopez has signed on to join Antonio Banderas in the Chilean miner film The 33.

Mike Medavoy is producing the drama, based on the true story of the 33 Chilean miners who were rescued after being trapped for 69 days in 2010.
The film will mark Lopez's first big-screen role since starring opposite Jason Statham in this year's action-thriller Parker.

Martin Sheen and Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro also have boarded the ensemble film, which was presented to foreign buyers at last month’s Cannes Film Festival. Good Universe is handling international sales.
Patricia Riggen (La Misma Luna) is directing from a screenplay written by Mikko Alanne and Jose Rivera, with production scheduled to begin in the fall in Chile.

In 2011, Medavoy nabbed the rights to the 33 miners, whose remarkable rescue from the San Jose Mine garnered headlines worldwide. The men were trapped half a mile beneath the Earth’s surface. Banderas is playing the role of Mario Sepulveda, the charismatic miner nicknamed “Super Mario.” Sheen will play a miner’s father, while Santoro is tackling the role of a trapped miner.
Ed McGurn also is producing. Chilean entrepreneurs Carlos Eugenio Lavín and Leopoldo Enriquez will executive produce.

See iOS 7 on the iPad in first screenshots

This is what iOS 7 will look like on Apple's iPad with retina display, iPad 2 and iPad mini.
Apple unveiled its new iOS mobile software last week, but hasn't really shown off how it will look on the iPad tablet. iOS 7 will come to the iPad at the same time as it hits the iPhone later in the year, but the beta version -- available to download now -- is only for the iPhone 5.
There's only one picture (the one above) on Apple's website of the iPad line-up with the colourful, cleaner, new-look iOS 7 on board. But developers spotted by 9to5Mac, have given us a glimpse of iOS 7 on the iPad by running the new software on the iOS Simulator, a developer tool designed for app-builders to road-test their nascent apps.
The iPad version of the new software still looks similar to the way the current iPad relates to the iPhone: a grid of four icons by five, with a fixed tray at the bottom.
The biggest difference is that some features, most notably the Control Centre, cover up less of the screen. Control Centre is a bar of quick access buttons and shortcuts -- letting you quickly toggle Wi-Fi or flight mode, for instance -- that you drag up from the bottom of the screen. It covers most of the iPhone screen, but is wider and shorter on the iPad and takes up less space.
There also appears to be a red icon in the tablet homescreen that doesn't show up on the phone, which looks like an icon for Photo Booth.
Fingers crossed that as we see more of iOS 7, there are some changes to help the software make the most of the larger screen.
To try out the iOS 7 beta for the iPhone 5 you need to register with Apple as a developer. The software goes public this autumn, and will work on the retina iPad, iPad 2 and iPad mini.

Samsung to launch Galaxy S4 Advanced with faster LTE

The device will ship internationally, but due to network constraints in the U.S., it won't be coming here for the time being.

 

Samsung is ready to launch a new Galaxy S4 that will be capable of connecting to the Internet through the LTE-Advanced 4G technology.
Speaking to Reuters in an interview published Monday, Samsung Electronics CEO J.K. Shin said that his company will launch a Galaxy S4 Advanced device designed to connect to the next generation of 4G LTE networks, dubbed LTE-Advanced. According to Shin, while a movie download might take three minutes on a current LTE connection, it would take a little over one minute on LTE-Advanced.

The Galaxy S4 Advanced's chip will be made by Qualcomm, Shin told Reuters. The company plans to launch the device, which will be the first commercial product to actually connect to LTE-Advanced, as early as this month in South Korea.
If all goes well with the Galaxy S4 Advanced, Samsung will likely launch it internationally in markets where the service is available. That means U.S. customers are out -- the only LTE available now in the States is the older, slower version.
