Suspected ritualists murdered a 30-year-old student, Mallam Ibrahim

The gruesome murder of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration student occurred on Friday morning, when his roommates discovered his corpse as they entered their room to wake him up for morning prayers.
Narrating the incident, one of the deceased’s brothers, Jamilu Ahmad, disclosed that his roommates discovered that the skull, left eye as well as some teeth had been removed.
According to him, “some friends of the deceased came to his room on that fateful day and they were with him till around 12 midnight before they departed to their respective quarters.
“As soon as they left, his roommates who were complaining of heat told my late brother that they were going to sleep outside. However, he told them that he did not mind the heat and would remain inside the room. Unknown to him, that night would be his last on earth.”
Jamilu who described his late brother as gentle said he spoke with the deceased on phone on Thursday night around 11 p.m, and he told him he was going to write his last paper on Sunday (today) and asked him to pray for him.
The roommates, we learnt were invited to the Talatan Mafara police station but were discharged as there was no evidence linking them to the murder.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawal Abdullahi confirmed the incident.
The deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites at the Tsunami cemetery in Gusau area of the state capital.
