PASUMA ATTACKED BY 9 GANGMEN

A nine-man  gang attacked music artiste, Wasiu Alabi, aka Pasuma, in Ahmadiyya end of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Monday night.

PasumaIt was learnt that some of the culprits forced their way into Pasuma’s vehicle and drove him around for over three hours before dumping him into a bush near Ota, Ogun State, and made away with the vehicle.
An associate of the singer, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone, said the incident occurred at about 9pm.

Jennifer Lopez's Sexy Britain's Got Talent Performance Draws Complaints From Viewers

Jennifer Lopez, Britain's Got Talent
Jenifer Lopez at the Britain Got Talent

Jennifer Lopez put on quite a show last night on Britain's Got Talent, but not everyone in the U.K. was impressed.
Wearing thigh-high boots and a skintight bodysuit that left little to the imagination, the 43-year-old performed her hit single "#LiveItUp." The judges—even Simon Cowell!—were blown away by J.Lo's provocative performance, but viewers at home found her sexed-up look to be inappropriate for a family-friendly program.

Ofcom, which is similar to the FCC in that it regulates media, confirmed to E! News it has "received complaints, which we are currently assessing but not investigating at the moment."
"If we consider the potential that the broadcasting code wasn't abided by, there is potential we would investigate," a spokesman for the organization said. "But it's too early to speculate."
Lopez and her dancers, however, seemed oblivious to any potential parental concerns. She posted an Instagram photo of her team holding her up post-performance, writing simply, "Thanks @GotTalent for a great night #liveitup."
Do you think J.Lo's performance was too provocative for prime time?

JTF ‘kills Boko Haram chief, three others’

JTF-soldiers-armyThe Multinational Joint Task Force has captured three key Assembly Points of Boko Haram insurgents and killed three, including a high profile terrorist identified as Abba, the military said yesterday.
Besides, the Force has arrested 25 suspected insurgents during a foiled bid to invade Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
But the insurgents killed a security operative.
These disclosures were contained in a statement by the Defence Headquarters, signed by its spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, on the update on the ongoing special operation in Borno State and two others —Adamawa and Yobe —where a state of emergency is on.
The statement said the Special Forces had also intercepted messages sent to fleeing insurgents, urging them not to give up but fight to the end.
The statement said: “Troops of the Special Forces have intercepted messages sent to fleeing insurgents urging them not to give up but fight to the end.
“The attempt by some of them to heed the call was foiled during the weekend as they were trailed to some settlements and towns towards the border where they plan to regroup.
“Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force carried out an operation which resulted in the capture and destruction of the insurgents’ assembly points sited on the outskirts of Kaneram Dan Katsina, Tumbu Dabino and Mallam Fatori area north of Baga.
“The towns and settlements have now been secured while cordon-and-search operation is also ongoing in the area after the insurgents have been dislodged.”
The statement which could not be independently confirmed, added: “Meanwhile, a total of 25 insurgents were rounded up while three died, including a high profile terrorist identified as Abba, who has been on the list of most wanted persons.
“This incident happened during an encounter with troops of the task force as the insurgents were finalising moves to carry out an extensive terrorist operation around Maiduguri.
“The captured ones were all apprehended with their weapons, which include rifles, pistols, double barrel guns and various calibres of ammunition, during a raid operation of the JTF in Kumshe and Bulunkutu area.
“In Sambisa forest, troops combing the forest continue to make more discoveries.
“A man who had been held hostage in the forest since last year escaped, bound in handcuffs as his captors fled during the troops’ attack on the biggest camp in the forest. The freed hostage is being treated by the Task Force.
“The troops are dominating the forest as they find a number of fresh grave, more arms and ammunition, burnt vehicles and other equipment. More updates as the operation continues.”

Three students, policeman killed as Ondo crisis escalates

The peaceful protest embarked upon by the youth of Ile-Oluji town in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday turned bloody on Tuesday, as four people, including a policeman, were feared dead.
This followed a clash between security agents and protesters, who were calling for the removal of the traditional ruler of the town.
Our correspondent learnt that the dead and five other injured persons were hit by bullets allegedly fired sporadically by policemen, who were deployed in the palace of the embattled monarch, Oba Suulade Adedugbe, to maintain law and order.
The ugly incident, our correspondent further learnt, forced the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Patrick Dokumor, to relocate his office to the town for a better part of Tuesday to take charge of the crisis.
The development paralysed social and economic activities as business owners shut their doors, while employees of various public and private offices in the town suspended further interactions with customers.
It was gathered that the youth, who were mainly students of institutions of higher learnings and indigenes of the town, had converged on the palace to continue the protest they started on Monday with the aim of forcing the monarch out of the town.
The increased population heightened the tension as the youth chanted war songs, warning the monarch to rescind his alleged decision to reject the siting of a federal polytechnic in the town.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the police, on getting to the scene of the protest, started shooting to scare the protesters and disperse them from the palace.
The protesters were said to have followed the patrol vehicles of the police back to their station, following which the police were said to have opened fire on them as they thought the youth wanted to attack them.
Three students were said to have been hit by police bullets, while one police officer was also said to have been mistakenly killed by another policeman, who fired into the crowd.
Two of the young men allegedly killed were students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, while the identity of the fourth person was unknown.
A source said, “Trouble started when the police on patrol fired tear gas at the protesting youths while youths also retaliated, a situation that infuriated the police, making them to shoot sporadically into the air.
“We also learnt that a police officer was also shot in a reprisal attack”
Meanwhile, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr.Wole Ogodo, confirmed that his boss had gone to the town in company with other senior police officers in the command to curtail the situation.
He said no death was recorded during the incident but said the police officer, who was attacked by the mob, had been hospitalised.

Liam Desperate to Dump Miley

It has been Proof that sometimes even the deepest of relationships can die a slow death: Things are not going well between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Though they're still technically together despite incessant rumors of a split, sources tell Life & Style that won't be true for long, Australia's News Network reports. The only reason Hemsworth hasn't actually walked away? "They broke up before and Miley went insane," a source says. "He felt so guilty, he went back to her and now he's concerned about what will happen if he leaves again." But don't worry, those three weddings are not happening, because eventually Liam will do the deed. "He wants to make sure Miley's in a good place before they announce a split," the source says. "He doesn't want her to go nuts and do anything stupid." Star recently claimed Hemsworth had been spotted "canoodling" with his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence, but Gossip Cop pooh-poohs that idea. In an even more amusing recent story, Page Six had Hemsworth "swarmed" by ladies at Cannes.

Somebody help that guy
