Akpors is at it again

A Ghanian, a china man and a Nigerian man (Akpos) were lost in the forest and were captured by the cannibals.
The king of the cannibals told the prisoners that they would live if they pass a trial.
The 1st step was to go deeply inside the forest and get ten pieces of desame kind of fruits.
The 3 men went their separate ways to gather fruits.
The Ghanian first returned with ten Apples, the king explained the 2nd step; you have to swallow the ten apples without any expression on your face or you will be killed.
He took in the first one, but on the 2nd, he winced in pain and was killed.
After few minutes, The china man returned and showed the king ten berries, the king also explained the 2nd step to him; you have to swallow this ten berries without any sign on yourface or you will be killed,he thought to himself that it would be easy for him.
He started, he took the 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8 and on the ninth berry, he burst outin laugh and was killed..
The Ghanian and the china man met in heaven and the ghanian ask; mahn why did you laugh? You almost got away with the trials, the china man replied; i couldn't control it when i saw the nigerian man(Akpos) coming with ten WATER MELONS!..

For decades, Prof. Wole Soyinka has kept a secret to himself, his grade when he left University College, Ibadan. But yesterday, the Nobel Laureate disclosed that contrary to insinuations, he graduated with a Second Class Upper and not Third Class as widely believed.
Soyinka broke his silence when he hosted secondary school students from across the country who were in Abeokuta, Ogun State to take part in this year’s “Open Doors Series” project, an international cultural exchange programme to mark his 79th birthday.
According to Soyinka, he had kept silent on the matter over the years, but decided to open up for the sake of the children as mark of respect for them. The event, tagged: “Memoirs of our future,” was organized by a Lagos-based multimedia company, Zmirage and the state government.

MASSOB, AIYO clash in Onitsha;One dead, many injured

 

One person was allegedly killed while several others were injured when some people suspected to be members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) clashed with the Association of Igbo Youths Organization (AIYO) in the commercial city of Onitsha in Anambra State.
It was gathered that MASSOB members in search of the hideouts of the AIYO invaded their alleged torture camp inside a thick forest along the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in a bid to dislodge them and restore normalcy in the commercial city.

Baby born with rosary round her neck in Niger

Thousands of people trooped to a private maternity home in Kotaworo area of Bida, in Niger state on Sunday to catch a glimpse of a baby girl said to have been delivered with a Muslim prayer Rosary (Tasabih)  on her  neck.

The middle aged mother of the baby,  Adijat was said to have been rushed to a local midwife home near the residence of Pa Mohammed Bello Masaba, the  Polygamist at about 2 pm on Sunday and after minutes of labour, she was delivered of the baby.


According the owner of the local maternity home, Alhaji Abubakar Baiwa Shasha who took delivery of the baby, “I was shocked  when in the course of the delivery the baby came with a Chisbih on her neck. The baby was born with a black rosary at delivery point.”

“But I was surprised  when after a while the rosary turned to white to the amazement of the few people around.”

As soon as the news spread round the town, thousands trooped to the the maternity home shouting “Allahu Akibar; Allahu Akibar (God is Great) as they scrambled to see and touch the baby. ”

Efforts to get the father of the baby, Isah, a native of Loma in Kwara State were fruitless as he refused to talk to our Correspondent.

An Islamic scholar, Malam Idiris Ndajiwo said the delivery of the baby with the mysterious rosary “showed the greatness of Allah. The delivery of the baby today, in this town and this area (Kutaworo) is a big thing to us Muslims. This actually goes to show that Allah is in control of what happens to any one and in the whole world.”

Another well wisher and the Personal Assistant to popular Islamic scholar, Pa Mohammed Bello Masaba, the octogenarian super polygamist, Alhaji Muktari Salau Bello said, “we have never witnessed such kind of miracle before in this town, but we thanked Allah for what He has done. In fact what happened is a miracle and we are very happy about it”.

The baby was later taken to the Etsu Nupe’s palace where they were received and blessed by the royal father , Alhaji Yahaya Abubukar.

Confirming the delivery of the mysterious girl when contacted on phone, the Emirate Secretary Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman said, “it is true. The baby was brought to the Palace and she was received and blessed by His royal highness, the Etsu Nupe and they have since left for their home. “

A CHILD’S INNOCENCE

Frustrated and fagged out of my mind with my emotions in a jumbled mess, I was on the verge of erupting in a volcanic rage, a state I hadn't been in since Obasanjo was an occupant in Aso Rock. I had waited all day alongside a very good friend of mine to receive copies of very important documents from a prospective client in Abuja and by the close of work it seemed the said client had engaged the services of the Nigerian Postal Service to send the documents instead of the internet that he had claimed to use. For weeks prior to this day, I was slowly but gradually coming to the conclusion that no one in Nigeria could do business in a straight forward manner without ‘posting’, and at this point, I had definitely arrived at it.

Why couldn't he just say “sorry sir, I do not have the documents you've requested for but as soon as I get them, I’d forward them to you” instead of saying “ahn! I've sent it now. You haven’t seen it?”
