Jack Bauer Returns With 9th Season Of 24


After a four-year hiatus, Emmy-winning television thriller, 24, will return in the summer 2014 with lead star, Kiefer Sutherland.



The best selling t.v show 24HRS which won many awards, watched by many all over the world. In Nigeria it kept people glued to their t.v set. People went has far as dubbing it on DVD so as to keep a copy and watch at any time, is back with SEASON 9
 
Fox network has made the announcement that 24: Live Another Day will bring back Sutherland as counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer.
The new 12-episode mini-series will represent 24 hours in Bauer’s life, following the same real-time format that became the series’ trademark.
‘The response to ’24′ is unlike anything I have ever experienced as an actor before,’ Sutherland said in a statement.
‘To have the chance to reunite with the character, Jack Bauer, is like finding a lost friend.’
The series, which originally ran for eight seasons between 2001 and 2010, won an Emmy award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2006, and Sutherland won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in the same year.
Fox programming chief Kevin Reilly said creators had been thinking about doing a feature film with the original cast in the series that follows his race against the clock to foil presidential assassination attempts and chemical weapons attacks.
But when Fox announced it was interested in doing a big event miniseries, they realized it was the perfect format.
Reilly made the announcement as part of Fox’s unveiling of a new schedule for the upcoming season.
Howard Gordon, who worked on the original 24, is set to take charge of the new series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The writer and producer is the man behind hit show Homeland.
